I sketch what I feel and experience...a number of events within the same image, or a complex, rich and  full life in the one portrait or landscape. Often it doesnt make any sense to the viewer, or to me. But does it have to?

No two people see the same thing or the same colour. Life is but a dream.  

This painting of Tosh portraying Brion, the spokesperson for the Minister for Defence may look a little evil, and is often described as portraying the devil himself. However, as the artist I was trying to bring out the Dutton-esk beauty so often misunderstood and remarkably well presented by Tosh Greenslade. It is all about how you see the man, and having a mindset open to finding beauty in unknown places.
